Plastic surgery trainee education
 

The purpose of the Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery training is to provide the person receiving this training with theoretical and applied knowledge that will enable him to work as an independent Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery specialist. At the end of the five-year education period, the residents of all ages and all genders undergo the necessary diagnostic, surgical and medical interventions for the correction of deformities acquired or congenital as a result of trauma, disease or aging, as well as for the improvement of normal body shape, in national and international contemporary to ensure that they do so in accordance with the standards and to gain the ability to develop / renew themselves in all these areas.

At the end of the education, the residency student can make an academic career, work as a specialist physician in public institutions or make a career in management positions. Specialists working as self-employed physicians can establish their own Medical Center or hospital and make a career in the management position there, and continue their career in these fields by taking the exam for the sub-branches defined under the Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery main branch. They can continue their advanced doctoral programs in this field at home or abroad.

During their training, trainees receive training in other departments with rotation for a total of 7 months, including 1 month Anatomy, 5 months General Surgery, 1 month Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Pediatric Surgery electives.

Medical student education

The 5th grade students of the Faculty of Medicine receive training in the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic with practical training, monitoring the surgeries and gaining basic intervention skills, as well as theoretical knowledge in accordance with the curriculum.

The purpose of this program; general approach to plastic surgery patients and to enable them to acquire the values, characteristics, knowledge, skills and professionalism characteristics of the society related to ethical and health law in frequently observed diseases within plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
