Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Medicine has adopted the quality assurance system in order to achieve its strategic goals which they set regarding the mission, vision and core values and institutional self-assessment results, and has adopted quality-oriented education, research and development, social contribution activities that stand out on a regional/national scale within the national and international external evaluation criteria. It aims to be an effective, efficient, competitive and entrepreneurial faculty which has adopted improving the management system of the institution qualitatively and quantitatively at national and international level.
Our faculty has adopted to establish its own assurance system by combining the national quality assurance system, which was created by adapting the international standards in quality assurance (ESG 2015-European Standards and Guidelines), which started within the scope of the Bologna process, which includes the improvements in the field of European Higher Education, which our University also adopts as a principle, to the institutional external evaluation criteria of the Turkish Higher Education Council, with our regional/national culture. It is based on the quality-oriented management system, which will carry out all its activities within its own quality assurance system in accordance with international standards and the requirements of the relevant legislation, which adopts the principle of continuous improvement and sustainability based on regular monitoring, and the satisfaction of our students and all internal and external stakeholders. In this context, our faculty, in all of its activities, has adopted;
- To continue student-centred education and training activities,
- To develop the structure, content, learning and measurement and evaluation processes of the pre-graduation medical education program,
- To accredit the Pre-Graduation and Post-Graduation education programs of our faculty at national and international level,
- To improve the research opportunities of our faculty and to increase the number of competitive publications with high impact.
- Updating the institutional services provided by our faculty
- Ensuring the participation of all our stakeholders,
- An understanding of participatory management approach with its defined processes, based on continuous evaluation and improvement,
- An understanding of providing healthcare services that prioritize patient rights and satisfaction in accordance with international standards,
- Training graduates with the ability to access new information,
- The understanding of placing a sense of belonging to our university,
- The effective use of resources.
The principles of this system, which is embraced by all employees, are determined as:
- Satisfaction of all stakeholders, especially students,

- The habit of continuous improvement based on regular review,

In this context, our Quality Goals are as follows:
- Taking an active role in the quality assurance processes of academic and administrative staff, students and external stakeholders
- Anticipating the problems that may arise in the quality assurance process, and taking necessary measures for them,
- Preventing all kinds of discrimination in employment and working environment, and also adherence to the principle in Article 10 of the Constitution stated as "Everyone is equal before the law without any discrimination based on language, race, colour, gender, political opinion, philosophical belief, religion, sect and similar reasons." ,
- Continuously updating, explaining the quality assurance processes and keeping them open to all stakeholders, and making the participation of internal and external stakeholders in these processes traditional.
