The Department of Radiation Oncology was established in 2006 and has started to provide education and treatment services since 2007. Our clinic is located at the -1 floor of B block at the Application and Research Center of Z.B.E.U. Three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy and intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) can be applied with 1 planning tomography and 1 linear accelerator device currently in our clinic.

One associate professor and 1 assistant professor in our department, and 1 medical physicist, 8 radiotherapy technicians and 2 secretaries in the clinic provide education, research and treatment services. Since our clinic is the only radiation oncology center in the Western Black Sea Region, it meets an important need for cancer patients and maintains its quality as a reference center. Radiotherapy is applied to approximately 750-800 patients every year
