The Department of Child Health and Diseases started outpatient clinics on 23rd October, 2000 and launched inpatient service on 9th April, 2001 in the Faculty of Medicine at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. The department started to serve with a general pediatric service with 12 beds and a neonatal intensive care unit with 8 incubators when it was first established. Currently, the inpatient services and outpatient clinics of our department are given as below.
Inpatient Services serve with:
- 17-bed general pediatric service
- 11-bed pediatric oncology and immunology service
- 7-bed pediatric intensive care unit
- Neonatal intensive care unit that can provide tertiary care with 25 incubators
- Pediatric emergency service which serve for 7 days 24 hours with 5 beds.

- Pediatric gastroenterology outpatient clinic
- Pediatric allergy immunology outpatient clinic
