Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Medicine “Accreditation of Pre-Graduation Medical Education Program

At the academic general assembly meeting of the faculty in December 2016, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Medicine decided to apply to the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs (TEPDAD) for the accreditation of the "Undergraduate Medical Education Program" and an application was made to TEPDAD on January 02, 2017. Our application was accepted at the TEPDAD Board of Directors meeting on 10 February 2017. Upon our request, after our application, an institution visit was made by the president and members of TEPDAD on March 28, 2017 for the purpose of introducing and informing our faculty about the accreditation process, standards and the writing of a self-assessment report. After this visit, our faculty started to work with three separate “Self-Evaluation Report (ÖDR) Preparation Commissions” affiliated to the Quality commission. The prepared ÖDR report was submitted to TEPDAD in August 2017. The ÖDR of the faculty was accepted in March 2018. The report prepared by the UTEAK visiting team as a result of on-site evaluations on 27-31 May 2018 was evaluated in the general assembly of TEPDAD on 09.09.2018 and was accredited by TEPDAD, the faculty's MÖTEP, for 6 years as of 01.01.2018.
