The mission of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Medicine is divided into three categories: education, service and research.
1-The mission in the field of education is to train physicians who prioritise universal human values, ethical principles and professional responsibilities, who have a high level of knowledge, skills and responsibility, who can make the correct diagnosis and apply treatment, who observe the health level of individuals and society and meet their health needs, who work in a team approach with all health stakeholders, who can recognise the society, know the needs of the society and guide health problems; aiming to increase the effectiveness of the planning, execution and evaluation processes of health care services, to train physicians who are open to lifelong development, who have free thought, who can research and produce information within the framework of ethical rules, and who can communicate effectively.
2-The mission in the field of service is to provide health services to the society with up-to-date information, using the latest technological facilities as much as possible, at a contemporary level, at high quality standards and to contribute to the health policy to be established according to the needs of the country.
3-The mission in the field of research; to plan, conduct and support scientific research that will contribute to universal knowledge accumulation.
VISION
The vision of our faculty is to be a medical faculty that trains universally accepted physicians, is a pioneer in modern research and health service delivery, and is recognised and preferred at national and international standards that prioritise the cooperation of medicine with other sciences.
